Odin

Odin is a hand-tufted rug designed by Loka Lagerlöv Grum-Schwensen of Studio Orbit.

Studio Orbit is known especially for designs featuring geometrical patterns and flowers – and, not least, for a unique ability to bring together colour schemes.

Loka Lagerlöv Grum-Schwensen says about her thoughts on the design of these rugs:

”For inspiration, I have looked at Oriental rugs and the way that they are compo-sed. Although this rug is a hand-tufted rug, its design is inspired by the geometrical patterns of the classic kilims. I have rethought these
patterns in a simple, controlled Scandinavian design which draws on references to Bauhaus and art deco.”

”This rug is made from pure wool and is available in three different colour combinations. The colours are inspired by current trends and my day-to-day work with the use of colours in soft furnishings.”

” By placing familiar elements in a new setting, I aim to create a new expression and, in that way, let my design tell a story.”
